POS Lite$499 one-time (+ $0/mo software)
POS Solo$699 one-time (+ $0/mo software)
POS Pro$799 one-time + $99/mo plan
SumUp Terminal$249 one-time (portable reader)
ProcessingOur rates (dual pricing / flat rate / interchange-plus)

Key pitch: "Zero monthly software fees" — merchants already paying $50–$100/mo elsewhere can justify SumUp's upfront cost in 5–10 months.

Conversion & positioning

  • If merchant already uses SumUp: They own the hardware (not placement). No hardware conversion. Upsell: move processing to our rails if not already done, or upgrade software tier (Lite → Pro).
  • If prospect is NOT using SumUp: Lead with "Zero monthly software cost." Calculate total cost vs Square ($0 upfront but $50–$99/mo): "You save $X/year on software, and we beat or match processing rates."

Rate conversation

SumUp merchants are price-sensitive. Dual pricing works exceptionally well: "Zero monthly software + zero card fees on cash = maximum margin for you." If they're on Square (flat-rate) or another processor, show the math: total monthly cost (software + processing) — we usually win on either software cost or rates.
