How dual pricing really works: it's a separate program from interchange or flat rate. When a customer chooses to pay the fee on card, the effective card rate is typically 3–4% depending on card mix and volume. On the full program this can eliminate your processing fees entirely. A business processing $50,000/month typically pays $1,500–$2,000 in fees, so the savings can run $18,000–$24,000 a year, replaced by a single flat monthly cost.* Businesses that see a lot of AMEX or premium rewards cards may still pay some processing unless they're on the full ~4% program. We'll model your exact mix before you decide.

Every item shows a lower cash price and a slightly higher card price, side by side. Customers who pay by card cover the processing fee, so you net the cash price either way.

Staying compliant

Both the cash and card prices must be clearly shown before checkout, and the card price disclosed on signage and receipts. We set up the compliant two-price display and receipt language so you're covered.

You post the card price everywhere, then give customers a discount for paying cash at the register. Card payers fund the processing; cash payers save.

Staying compliant
